Grouse Ridge and Old Man Mountain

Families are now hiking in the fragrant cedar forests and couples are escaping it all in their own private "cabin in the woods".  Simply relax by the fireplace, unwind, and let your mind take you back to a place in time.  Enjoy our eight classic log cabins nestled among the ferns near Old Man Mountain in a wooded glen where Shinneyboo Creek and the stunning South Yuba River meet.  The Boo is also perfect for a intimate family reunion or a large destination wedding.

Cozy Cabin Interior with Loft
You'll find so much to do at the Boo!
Surrounded on three sides by the beautiful Tahoe National Forest, our spectacular forests of Jeffery Pines and old growth Cedars are the gateway to thousands of acres of
High Sierra back-country, where rushing rivers, sparkling mountain lakes, emerald granite pools and trails like the Pacific Crest Trail and the Old Emigrant Trail open to your exploration.

The stunning Granite Falls of the South Yuba River are just steps from your back door.  Enjoy our close proximity to the Donner Summit Ski Resort Areas Sugar Bowl, Boreal, Soda Springs, and Royal Gorge, and close to Truckee, Squaw Valley, and Lake Tahoe, as well as the culture of the Gold Country in Nevada City/Grass Valley.  We are at the gateway to the high country of the mountains near Grouse Lakes Recreation Area, the incredible Nisenan Valley, close to the metropolitan areas of Sacramento, San Francisco, and Reno, and just up the hill from Roseville, Rocklin and Auburn.
